The journey to creating the most innovative white cane for the visually impaired community continues! The See Me Cane 1R is nearing its next phase, overcoming early prototype challenges and preparing for final assembly and testing.

Overcoming Challenges to Build a Better White Cane

At the recent SeeSun event, I showcased the latest improvements to the See Me Cane 1R. Feedback from the visually impaired community has been invaluable in refining the cane’s design, ensuring it enhances visibility, safety, and independence.

One of our biggest goals with the 1R model is to make it easy to assemble within the visually impaired community. The upcoming two-week parts procurement process in April will allow us to finalize production and prepare for pre-orders.

User Feedback on the Previous Model

While developing the See Me Cane 1R, we received insightful feedback from users of the See Me Cane 2023 (now discontinued). Brenda and Evan Sarns shared how the cane improved their daily lives:
